Mr. and Mrs. Finnegan.
I am allllwayys so excited to see the wedding dress a bride has picked out and Katie's did. not. disappoint! It was delicate, floral, light. And the veil?!? Gorgeous. Katie shared that the inspiration was drawn from Cinderella's wedding dress in the live-action movie, and I loved that! I found it to be the perfect blend of whimsy with traditional.
Much more important than the dress (or the killer shoes), was the day itself. Friends filled each moment — from quality time in the morning with the bride and groom to dancing their hearts out on the dance floor. It was a day of joy, camaraderie, and celebration.
A tender moment from the day was their "First Touch." This was set aside time for the bride and groom before the Nuptial Mass to share a quiet moment together -- without looking! This was done in front of Our Lady in the same location Patrick asked Katie to marry him. What the perfect full-circle moment. In a sense, it was to start again where it all began. I will always be a fan of a First Touch. I remember on my own wedding day being so nervous, but the chance to just hold my husband's hand, say a prayer, and be calm and still for a moment? It did wonders to help replace any nervousness with 100% excitement!
Enjoy just a glimpse into the beautiful day....
